High School Financial Literacy Curriculum | Grades 9-12

Financial Power for Life is a comprehensive, 18-week financial literacy curriculum built specifically for Louisiana high school students. Designed to meet Louisiana House Bill 52 graduation requirements, this program goes beyond generic national curricula by embedding Louisiana-specific content into every lesson.

What Makes It Different:

Students learn financial concepts through the lens of their own lives - TOPS scholarship planning, hurricane financial preparedness, Louisiana tax structures, and career pathways specific to their parishes. The curriculum honors Louisiana's diverse communities with culturally responsive content reflecting Creole, Cajun, African American, Vietnamese, and Indigenous traditions around money and wealth-building.

Entrepreneur Edition: capital strategy, cash flow mastery, and financial infrastructure for business owners

Government & Public Service Edition: pension literacy, benefits strategy, and long-term financial planning

Reentry Edition: financial rebuilding, credit restoration, employment pathways, and entrepreneurship strategy for individuals returning from incarceration and rebuilding economic stability.
